Hirotaka is infinitely inspired by natural wonders. The beauty and shapes of insects and stones, especially, enthralled him as a child growing up in Tokyo. At the age of 18 he moved to L.A. to study international affairs but his passion for jewelry-making led him to Paris, France. Returning to Japan, Hirotaka joined a high-end jewelry designing team and in 2007 began creating bespoke jewelry for private clients. Hirotaka's eponymous line was launched in 2009 as jewelry for "everyday use." The process from sketch to execution is influenced by aquatic and terrestrial life, his dad's surgical scissors, music, and a select group of admirers. Wearing "Hirotaka" is a celebration of your most whimsical yet singular self.
